Dangerous Goods Logistics Engineering Postgraduate Specialization Programme

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics at the University of Miskolc (Hungary) will launch the Dangerous Goods Logistics Engineering postgraduate course in September 2026.
 

Overview

The Dangerous Goods Logistics Engineering postgraduate specialization programme provides advanced knowledge in the safe, regulation-compliant and efficient management of dangerous goods within logistics systems. The programme integrates logistics system design, transport regulations, optimisation, simulation, risk management, intelligent solutions and hazardous waste logistics. Special emphasis is placed on international regulatory frameworks (ADR, RID, ADN, IMDG, IATA), sustainability and digital technologies. The training concludes with a thesis and a comprehensive final examination.

The programme is offered at postgraduate level and has a duration of two semesters. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) to meet the academic requirements.

The 2026/27 Autumn intake application period runs from 15 October 2025 to 31 July 2026. The language of instruction is English; therefore, applicants must demonstrate proficiency with a minimum level of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

Students are required to complete 60 ECTS credits during the programme. The curriculum consists of 152 hours of lectures (69%) and 68 hours of practical classes (31%), ensuring a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.
